Watch Our Playground Become A Reality.

Dear Pirtle Family and Friends, 

Joe M. Pirtle Elementary PTA is raising money to install new playground equipment.  We currently have over 691 students with 2 playgrounds.  Our Kindergarten-2^nd grade students share a playground and our 3^rd-5^th grade students share a playground.  The playground for the older students does not have playground equipment.  This area has fitness bars, but no swings, slide, etc.  We would like to install a more interactive playground for the older students.  

With the increase in childhood obesity, it is our job to provide students with areas to play and get exercise during the school day.  Adding playground equipment for our older students would help with this growing problem.

School playground equipment is very expensive and it could take several years to raise enough money to install.  We are asking our Pirtle community to help raise money to purchase the new playground within this school year. 

We have a drawing of the Proposed playground here on this page for you to review.  The estimated cost of this playground is $56,000 dollars.  (Along with the Playground equipment, we would also like to purchase a few benches, trees, etc to make this area nicer for our students to play.)
